I don't see how a capacitive multitouch screen would have to do anything with qwerty or no qwerty. anyway, if the screen really is 4" it would be very nice.

In addition to above,

- RM-690 (I'm not 100% sure, but fairly certain it's 690)
- quad-band/penta-band (so it will support every 3G band under the sun like the N8)
- 720p HD recording
- 4" 16:9 capacitive multi-touch screen
- about 0.5-1.0 centimeters thinner than N900 (I forgot if he said 0.5 or 1.0, LOL)
- 13x0 mAh battery (I forget to check, but I suspect the display to be OLED and I was told battery life is expected to be better than N900)

Like I said, the specs are incomplete so there may be small changes/additions before launch.
hah, pleasingly similar to what appears here:

nice photo. i don't agree with some of what's written in the blog post (especially about the need for a physical keyboard), but it sure looks tempting.

I was just going to ask from where is that pic from? It got nice Nokia + mobile computer feel on it.

i love my n900, and i love the keyboard on it.

however, i want a bigger screen on the first MeeGo device and i imagine Nokia marketing would throw a fit at try to sell a device that was as big as the HTC Evo 4G, but twice as fat due to the need for a keyboard.

Then I think I will buy the n900 without regret then. I'm a fan of the qwerty keyboard, and the n900 dev mentality. And it is fact that meego will run on n900. n8 was a flop I reckon. As long as there is room to extend and develop I'll be happy.

N8 hasn't even started selling yet. it will be Nokia's high volume high end phone no doubt.
