odd, without me doing anything youtube now works fine. I noticed it still tries to load m.youtube but then flicks to desktop youtube at the last second.
So I deleted my old bookmark and now there are no shenanigans at all and it goes right through to the desktop version!
Is it possible for your original bookmarks to be changed somehow by the parent site as I definatly bookmarked the proper site monthes ago?

No problems at all now and have been using youtube on and off all day. I can only presume my N900 was having some sort of brain fart.

I go to youtube through MicroB predefined bookmark ( m.youtube.com/?clinet=mv-nokia-maemo ) and it goes to the fully site
