Duel booting android is a great idea.

You can use your minority hardly known maemo OS to do computer stuff.

Write applications for android and test them on your phone - and hopefully make some money from it.

Maemo as a commercial platform is finished.

About the same as all of the endeavors to get Mer on the N810 before they half-assed released those 3D drivers.

Yes, but it still has more chances to work at the end.

Ignoring your snide remarks. Maemo was never meant to be a commercial platform. That's what Meego/Symbian3 are for. Maemo by itself would've never sold the numbers needed to become a commercial platform.

But its funny how people cut down Android on n900 as an irrelevance because they can do all they want to on Maemo I think was his point.

Well the OP is obviously a troll so no need to keep on elaborating in this specific thread...

Just like Mer, just like Mer^2 had a chance?

Seeing is believing. I just saw Android 2.2 and Adobe Flash Player 10.1.

Now, it's MeeGo's turn with the same speed and features as above to grant me the same confidence as you seem to have. Simply put, I'll believe it when I see it.

And I've yet to see anything more than a terminal prompt so far.

But we'll see.

What exactly did you see of Android 2.2 and Flash 10.1? I've installed them, they barely work yet. The performance is the same as the old NiTdroid (and the same as the one I managed to run on 770).
