His phone could have a hardware problem, as you've seen on other threads I've been developing this since last Sunday, and an N900 can't last till thursday on one charge, it's perfectly safe to use (plus Bash has tested it with me along the way)
It's also a kernel module, it gets reset after it's removed (which the UI button should do, as well as rebooting the phone)
As for backup loading, I need sources not binary kernel modules.

As for backups, I'm not sure about those, I'm using the code from http://github.com/kakaroto/PSFreedom, I'll talk to KaKaRoTo about it, afaik you can use custom payloads and shellcodes, but again I'll ask how and add it to the UI
