hi, unfortunately im struggling with this problem too! how do i uninstall the above stated fies manually? pls help!

this solved my problem with hildon-desktop after editing the menu to add folders to the app menu.
after copying the package to your device:
1.run xterm, then type
Code:
sudo gainroot
2.cd to the file directory and intstall the package
Code:
dpkg -i insert_file_name_here.deb
keep monitoring hildon-desktop from conky, it should use 0.33 - 2.00 cpu% while idle
