There was some trouble when I packed version 0.4-4. The installer didn't love my replacement of the configfile. The newer versions should work

Update:
Savepress now includes a temporary fix for the savepress-editor permission-issue. Just run Savepress one time before using the editor for the first time.

Don't you think could be useful to add the FMtransmitter toggle on/off? I use it pretty often and there's actually no way to toggle it by using service buttons.

In my case the optimal would be to toggle between:
pause mediaplayer + turn off FMtransmitter <--> turn on FMtransmitter + resume mediaplayer

Would you consider that?
Sure, the FM Transmitter could be very useful. Right now I can't tell if toggle or only disconnection will be used. Have to make some research to find out if the status of the transmitter could be received. I'm not sure about the pause/play tho. As far as i know theres no way to find out if the media player is currently playing, and therefor the function would always start the music.

I'll consider the transmitter to a future version. Right now I'm almost done with the next update which will enable the choice of lock a frequency instead of set the limits.

I also have plans to add screen brightness-toggle to a future update.

my variant of your savepress:
1) wifi switcher code from "Wifi Switcher"
2) check for N seconds every second that lock key pressed
Attached Files
File Type: gz savepress.sh.gz (2.0 KB, 158 views)

Thanks for your contribution ForeverYoung. I've looked at your changes and this is my thoughts:

1) I don't really see why the module has to be shutdown. But I'm quite new to Linux (my N900 is my very first experience tbh). Maybe you, or anyone else, could tell me the difference?
2) The main goal in savepress is to save as much battery as possible. And with that in mind I cant see how a for-loop is any better than check->sleep->check. Sure, it could maybe be better if the number of seconds was set to <10. But the majority users will probably use 2-5 seconds.

Official thread!

If I don't unload module, in N minutes, if there is a wifi net around, it would be found and connected.

For-loop goes all its way only if I really press lock key for N seconds, otherwise it exit in 1 second.
Sometimes I unlock device, look at clock or something, and lock it again, in 2 second or in 5 or in 10, and savepress activates accidentally without every-second-test.
