Still no excuse for constantly bumping a thread and being annoying...

I said a Bluetooth hands-free kit, not a headset.

if the built-in FM transmitter transmits the output from the audio jack, then i guess you will have the issue.

good luck

well i'm really no good at this sorta thing, but would it not be possible to set up a simple and dirty script, forget trying to tie it in to when alsamixer resets the volume, get it to run every 30seconds, you cant max it any more than max so whats the harm if its ran more often than necessary? obviously not running all the time, but a qbw you press to start and stop the recurring widget when you get in and out of the car.

User almehdi made a very useful application called n9tweak. In the latest version 0.2-1 he added startup script for the PreDriv so even after the restart the phone volume would be still set to 100%. No need to access the command line and change it manually.

http://forum.meego.com/showthread.php?t=4991

N9tweak 0.2-1 now available at http://goo.gl/4JmjY

Installation 0.2-1:
1)Either install it through the browser. http://goo.gl/4JmjY
You need to have "allow other sources" set in settings.

2)Or do it with wget from terminal.
1. devel-su
(passwd: rootme)
2. wget goo.gl/4JmjY
3. dpkg -i n9tweak_0.2-1_all.deb

Changelog:

0.2-1
* Change GPS provider
* Change PowerKey behaviour
* Added PreDriv at startup
* Added Screenlapse (hidden)

New in v0.2-0:
* Added bounce to lock-screen
* Added volume boost
* Added startup adhoc
* Added german hw-keys
* possibilty to revert hw-keys
* added /usr/bin/n9tweak
* A bunch of bug fixes

New in v0.1-4 are..

* Package as a deb (Easy install/uninstall)
* App icon in the launcher
* All options can be reset
* Options who don't need root are done by user
* Close to none restarts are necessary
* Small size (3.9kb)
