The Intel Chief Technology Officer, Justin Rattner, told Reuters they could equal ARM on active power efficiency with Medfield back in late August. Matching in idle is easy anyways, but did they meet their targets? No way to tell yet...

Is it just my imagination, or are there buttons below the screen in the Intel picture? Another boring Android device, just with "Intel inside"?

Yeah, I don't really understand why they have to hide it, but I am hoping it is so Nokia can officially announce something soon, without us over-analyzing everything beforehand. That picture posted above, although completely unconfirmed, was enough to spark another round of "news" stories...
(hey, at least slash gear linked back here so people can see how we are not even close to an official announcement, meanwhile engadget is just making things worse by not citing any sources)

Anyways, that further proves there is lots of hype for the N9, now hopefully that quote about "no such thing as bad publicity" is true...

More likely nextgen ava, Two reasons, cause if I remember right Nokia has theyr own nfc chip and Modems...

Intresting to see Atmel QTouch chip . Atmel seems to be very opensource (atleast on AVR8/32 bits AFAIK)

Well I don't know what it is, but one thing is sure: Meego Handset development and QA is being done almost exclusively under the iCDK and nCDK reference designs, which are both based on Medfield. You can find that info easily on any recent QA report for the Meego Handset weekly image.

N900 is still supported and there is development taking place, but I wouldn't bet on Meego debutting on an OMAP3 platform.
