i don't understand what's going on, i ran wget at the command line and it says:
read error at byte 6986 (connection reset by peer). giving up.
the browser works fine with that image if i go to the html page rather than linking directly to the php script.

try protesting on your own. you might find a helpful individual.i call it the sharkattack.

but other than that, search for wget and its official page the command line is different from what nononoyes has on his page. the one that worked for me had a dash - in it ,,,something like sudo apt get-wget install. but it worked. and so far mine is working fine,,,possibly a combination of creating a username and personal settings in firefox n900 browser or maemo for the timeanddate.com page and installing wget correctly

I'm just reading this for entertainment and hardly know what you guys are talking about, but it sounds a bit like timeanddate.com doesn't like you downloading this image so frequently, and is temporarily blocking your ip address.

This would explain the difficulty in replicating the problem, and also why it works from some connections and not others.

Or it could be something completely different...
