can the enabling (and disabling) be scripted/run from xterm - so It can be integrated in alarmd or desktop command widget?

The settings are stored in gconf.
(list all settings:
gconftool -R /apps/maemo/txtmsgtomail)

And you can use gconftool from you script to change the settings.
(for example:
gconftool -s /apps/maemo/txtmsgtomail/disable_incoming_forwarding true -t bool)

very cool - thanks.
Now I just have to do the same for call forwarding applet, and the perfect forward (voice+sms) can commence.

Hi Nicolai,

I suppose you are extremely busy with the myriad of applications you are maintaining and the CSSU but, are you still working on this?

Hi ivgalvez,

yes, I want to make the subject line configurable, so the user
can define something like this:
"New message from ${SENDER}"
and the email subject line will be:
"New message from 0127...."

New version 0.2 now includes a "subject" line in the
control panel applet.
Instead of the just senders phone number you can define your
own subject line. For example:
"SMS from $(SENDER)"
where $(SENDER) will be replaced with the SMS-Senders
phone number.

regards
Nicolai

great update thank you one question...is it possible to make the program "auto connect" and disconnect from wifi/mobile network ? when a new sms is received the app connect itself to wifi/mobile network and when the email is sent it disconnect itself.. saving a lot of battery life..im not sure if the second part is possible but this can be fixed with autodisconnect app :P
