Anyone whose phone app Turning control doesn't look like this is/was shooting themselves in the foot:

Argue all you want, but with these settings on stock PR 1.3, phone functionality is excellent.

There was supposed to be a link with his post: http://www.thegeeksclub.com/wp-conte...8/nokia900.png

So I am thinking N900.

couldn't agree more. Call answering performance was a rough as a dog with turning control enabled, but sweet as a p.u.s.s.y.cat in landscape only. I've not had one issue answering a call in the 20 months since I disabled turning control (and I've NEVER reflashed the phone in 2 years either, so it's not exactly a clean install).

This looks like a fake!
And even if it was real I do not want Windows Phone 7!

There is no problem whatsoever with multitasking or incoming call performance on the N9. Dual core is not needed for that. The problems of the N900 are caused by lack of RAM and inadequate software.

You may still run into issues if you run lots of badly programmed software, or you may not, I have not tested that (a bit difficult to do...). But generally, that you need a dual core for multitasking without hangs is just a marketing myth.

Although being a compulsive N900/N9 fan, i recently read somewhere about a variant of the samsung galaxy S II with a slide out keyboard that sounded interesting. Quite honestly, if they made an N900 with niver specs (more ram, better cpu and larger screen), i wouldnt think twice about getting it.

As for the Galaxy S2, i enjoy the screen, even if its android. So a slide out keyboard makes things more interesting. Anyway, i made a quick search on google and got this SGH-I927 thing:

http://www.cellphone-sales.com/samsu...coming-to-fcc/

Considering the options - iOS, win7 - if we ever loose maemo and meego, which we will, android is probably the less worst thing. :-)

I am too saw that phone last week and this is my best bet for the next phone.

The N900 was my best phone ever unfortunatly I will have to switch to another company of Nokia because of the following:

-My N900 never work fast in Canada 2G only as the frequency is not available

-The USB port is terrible it broke twice, first time nokia change it under warranty now it's after so I have to deal with it.

-They never upgrade the N900 like they have should N9 no keyboard... and after 2 years

-Nokia is going for windows phone yeark

So the SGH-I927 would be the perfect replacement

I've just jumped to another "dead platform" and bought HP Pre 3.
