Nice to have:

free42 (HP calculator emulator)
omweather
There are some other apps. I use now and then, like battlegweled and the puzzles, and some more. The above I use a lot and I re-install them immediately after a firmware upgrade.

I couldn't get Maemo blog to work. Did you run into any problems with it and if so how did you solve it?
