That modified hildon-desktop's been merged into CSSU.

I recommend flashing to PR1.3 GLOBAL firmware, then installing CSSU on top of that.

The PR1.3.1 security fix is already in CSSU as of the 20.2010.36-maemo16.8 release.

So here is my bootloop problem. I decided to do the swap on SD which is a great idea in theory, but if the cover ever comes off it crashes your system when swap dispersals. As we all know serious system issues come up when the system is crash stopped. I had one N900 end up with a keyboard LED get stuck, flashing didn't help. What this means is that the N900 can apparently hold errors in hardware after crash halts which flashing wont fix.

So intro over...

I have a reasonably new N900 bought at that NewEgg closeout sale. Had a few occasions where my cover popped off or a unstable app crashed the phone. Now I have a N900 which will often bootloop even after a 5-6 clean USB flashes of first stock Nokia vanilla and then stock Nokia combined images today. First boot works fine but after I get things installed to use a working backupmenu image or even rebooting after installing some repos or installing CSSU the bootloop returns.

(edit) I left it sit without battery for 10 min and I got it to boot...
