Well, why not ? The more the merrier Actually, just check out a random desktop distro - it supports a ton of application frameworks without a hitch (due to package management) - not just one or two like most mobile Linux based systems.

I agree. I don't really like that kind of exclusiveness (like Qt only, EFL only etc.). Normal distros support a choice, and even all at once. May be managing that in mobile distributions is harder, but it shouldn't be impossible. Instead of dropping GTK for Qt, then Qt for EFL and so on, they better develop a system where any of those could be used productively.

^I disagree.

I want it to be exclusive (eg, Qt and HTML only) because it makes it more rigid for developers/power-users/ecosystem and also a *lighter OS* with better battery management.

But I want it to have the underlying potential for supporting more. For instance, use stock Linux kernel and have Python etc etc available through a custom rom.

Desktop Distro's have the luxury of a speedy processor, less graphic intense purposes, no touchscreens, and no need for advanced battery management. Unlike mobileOSes
