Ok, so here is my attempt to make a better boot video (short and simple but yet different than the original one):

I intentionally didn't include a background sound/music because I don't like my phone to make sounds when booting. If you want to add some sounds to the video feel free to alter it.

Hope you guys like it!

@danested's boot video: This one is also childish and unprofessional. To much colors, to much motion.

Again, sorry for the critique. But I don't think one has to do all sort of fancy things just because it's technically possible. The Nokia designers did a great job both in terms of hardware as well as software design. One doesn't have to disimprove this.
Hey Issac,

Likr I'd mentioned in the post with the video link, this was my very first animation of any kind, and it took me all day to finally give up and post the one that i thought was presentable, unfortunately, we do things out of interest sometimes... Or boredom... And not to compete against a design team... To show were better or on par...

Thanks for pointing out the problems with the video through, I can clearly use it... Unfortunately the other video with fewer moving objects is with me... Since it contains nothing more than meego and a my name in a stylized font, of which you can see 2 characters in the video(a&n in red)... I dint post it here cos i cant think of a reason why you would want a boot video with my name .. think it'll do good to take off the magician and the jumping Meegons... Yea?

it took a lot of time especially since I did this in Photoshop, frame by frame .. And it dint seem to be a bad idea to make it funny. My N9 is not a business device... And I am not a serious person

Hi everyone,

On my side, I'm looking for a way to remove completely the boot video, or to have the shortest possible (like 1ms, black, mute). Is it possible or is there any specs to follow (minimal duration, size, resolution...) ?

^^ You can simply replace the stock boot video with a black screen in .mp4 format...

It was my first animation, too.

Yeah, that definitly would make it look better. At least in my opinion.

I did the same. Frame by frame in Photoshop. Really time-consuming. But I don't know how to use a real animation tool.

@All: I had quite a lot fun making the first boot video, so here is my second attempt:

Remove "/usr/share/MProgressIndicator/themes/opengl/".
Make backup!
