What utter rubbish!
here is what they say: About Jumptap
Jumptap is the leader in targeted mobile advertising. Reaching 95 million mobile users in the U.S. and 142 million mobile users worldwide, Jumptap uses its extensive technology portfolio, as well as industry-first partnerships with third- party data providers, to understand mobile audiences better than any other ad network and provide intelligent targeting with scale.

So with 2 000 million mobile users, they study 5%. We know the accuracy of "market studies" without careful sampling. Its like breathing uder water, and report that it is very difficult. There is a fraction of oxygen in water too.

Well anyway, Nokia has ruined its reputation and future with Microsoft. At least all cool OSS developers leave it to suffer its destiny.

Usually I would go on and sign even if it doesn't matter but this could easily end up hurting what is left of meego/maemo/n9 I could see this mentioned but some ex MS deepshit at nokia in the terms of "there was a petition for meego to continue and it got like 3500 votes, clearly nokia made the right choice with WP"

Regardless of my personal thoughts on the (lack of) effectiveness of online petitions, the language used in the description won't get you very far. You *nix fanboys have spent so long in your parents basements that you've forgotten how people interact in the real world.

The real world? Who cares about the real world? Ellop? Nokia? You like to think of *nix users/developers as a group of basement dwelling hippies. You are welcome to do so (at your peril).

PS: By the way, I do not participate in online petitions (as I am sure many others don't). I am just here for the occasional fun thread. This one, for example, has offered a few chuckles already.
