Lots of . Though class 10 are usually worse than class 2 on random writes.

No definately not. it does exactly what it pretends to do, reprioritizes processes so the graphical frontend gets more responsive regardless of the processes below.
Before speedpatch then a youtubevideo could make the gui to be dead slow.
But after installing speedpatch then youtube on the same videos will make the video stutter, but i can close the window without the need to wait for the gui to react.
So it doesnt go faster, but it is very obvious that it reacts differently.

@electroaudio - Well, noone have ever told it does not do process reprioritization. However the way it does it is a mist for speedpatch author. For those who made the effort to read what cgroups do and how they work it is clear - all processes are put in root cgroup, throwing all what Nokia have done in the trash.

You really may want to read the thread linked a few posts bellow, you can find much more details there. I did my best there to explain what batterypatch/speedpatch do and why one should not use them.

Please don't turn this into another BP thread, there's already 3000+ posts with this tripe on it's own thread.

I see no reason why anything called patch should be installed.
If it's works and is fully proven it would/should be in CSSU by now.
End of sorry!

*LOL* it doesnt make anything into portraitmode, so no, it will never be in CSSU.
-Cssu is just a big joke, and completely useless ... unless you think portraitmode is important.
(refering to the power-Xterm discussion earlier)

However, i havent tried batterypatch and i dont really have any use for it either, but i do like what speedpatch do for *me* and also would like it on my main linux-mint installation because it also has the same problems as my N900 did have before speedpatch.

This is extremely short-sighted to think CSSU is just a portrait mode.
Have you read the latest changelogs?

Many people compare before and after SP, have you considered it's dependencies?

No to both, but i read the discussion in the power-xterm thread, and i do have some bugs/featurerequests related to how hildon should behave myself.
-Portraitmode in busybox is just a big sad joke...

For speedpatch i dont really bother why, it does what i want and it does it as i want it. It is definately not a speed improvement but i like the result.

May I refer you to this

The purpose of forcerotation is not to enable system-wide portrait for end-users
That's what the blacklist is for if you want to use portrait mode, you are not forced into using it.
In fact it comes disabled.
