My question is simple. When the broswer boots up. It's in its default font size, quite small and I can just make out without anything on the screen. When you guys put the screen protector on. Can you still read that?

At first I thought I wasn't going to pay $13 for a screen, but it's beginning to look more convincing now.

I got a set of two from navprotector yesterday. I got 'em via their eBay auction. The protectors are of the thin variety and I was expecting a 1/2 hour battle to get it on "just right". However, it went on smoothly on first pass with no bubbles, no dust and perfect alignment! (credit the product and a bit of luck on my part). Note: Dust & smudges seen in the pics settled outside the protector and look bad as these are macro pics.

It's a good fit, but not a perfect fit. The width is perfect with about 1/2mm exposed on each side (need this to remove the product). However, there's about 3/4mm on each side height-wise. This is a tad bit too much, but not a big deal (I expect some dust to collect along the edges, but it can be easily wiped off as far I know from using screen protectors for a # of years).

One more thing: The screen looks less grainier after I applied the screen protector! I'm not sure if I'm imagining things, so I shall test this out under different lighting conditions and report back later.

The price is right: USD $11.50 including shipping within the USA for a set of two. I'm now thinking of ordering some for my i-Mate SP5 and my iPAQs as well (although it's left to seen how the "anti glare" effect works when using the products in daylight --> not important on the 770 as I'll be using it strictly indoors unless someone ports a GPS app for the product).

I'm using a Brando ultra clear screen protector right now. I'm not sure if it makes the tiny fonts harder to read.....it was a ***** to put on though, that's for sure....

Does the Brando use adhesive like WriteRights? Does it scratch easily like WRs do?

It does not scratch at all. It's removable and washable, although it obviously adheres to the screen. I have never seen or used a Writeright.
I have used Brando protectors for many different phones....great products...as are Boxwave and Martin Fields.

How does it adhere? Is there glue? I recall a protector someone was going to review for the Zaurus. It clung without any glue and looked to be damned good and unscratchable. I don't know who put it out, though. Or if the review was ever published.

Quick followup to my earlier post regarding the navprotectors: The screen can be read in daylight as well. Over the years I've used all varieties of major brand screen protectors (Boxwave, Brando, Martin Fields, Javo, EXIM, Fellowes WriteRight, PPCTechs WriteSHIELD, NuShield etc). I can safely say that the Navprotector holds its' own against these big boys. When it comes to ease of installing, it's second only to the Boxwave Cleartouch antiglare version (not the hard to install Crystal version). The screen looks as if there's no protector on it. Note: Javo and Boxwave are one and the same screen protector. Hence, Javoscreen antiglare = Boxwave Cleartouch antiglare

OK Djinn, your review convinced me. That and the lack of adhesive, my hair stood on end when I read Mike Cane post about the adhesive pulling away part of the 770's screen.

I went to the eBay auction and got a navprotector. I'll let you know how they worked.

Of course, back in the dark ages, I protected my first Handspring Visor by going to the local fabric store, purchasing a bit of thin transparent vinyl, and carefully cutting a piece to screen size.
