When I start Maps application while being online (Wi-Fi), it takes some time to get GPS signal, it does show right coordinates, I guess, but no map =\ . I've found New York just for lulz - no streets, no roads, no nothing, just a marker and that's it.
Why it's not in FAQ, btw? Doesn't seem obvious to me. Thought PC Suite is pretty useless.
