if kingston has a lifetime guarantee, i may buy that brand. does kingston have plans for higher capacities like 16 or 32 GB cards?

Its 'HE' and you would be correct. Those that have not had a problem dont need to be in the thread. We already understand this doesnt happen to everyone. It has yet to happen to me, but then again I havnt put in my now 2 month old 8GB card.

I risked a cheap 4GB non-SDHC (made by www.veho-uk.com) and it's been rubbish, I've had to re-format it many times... and I think it's finally given up the ghost ... lesson learned.. with SD Cards you get what you pay for !
