I got it downloaded now and tried to compile into an RMP but I have no idea how the project is structured

Yep, I managed to build an rpm within the mersdk VM. Installed to Jolla and seems to be better, prediction - words offered is better and there seems to be less errors when swyping.

I used the default fr en nl languages...

Could you release your version as an RPM or give a detailed guide how to compile it in the VM?

I'll try the build instructions - from scratch
  1. Downloaded the SDK from https://sailfish.org/wiki/Application_SDK#Latest_SDK_Release. to my Fedora 23 system.

  2. Installing SDK: https://sailfishos.org/wiki/Applicat...K_Installation

  3. Downloading Okboard source: https://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?...&postcount=287

  4. The two dirs on my native linux box are available via the Share dir inside the mersdk build environment.
  5. Running Virtualbox, the mersdk VM allowed me to have a build environment. I ssh into the mersdk VM from my native box and away you go

Next, I extracted the language files from the RPM on https://openrepos.net/content/eber42/okboard
Finally I simply followed the instructions in README.md from the okb-keyboard dir.

Does that help?

It would be super awesome if someone could compile an .rpm for others to use

I think the whole point of eber42 of making the repo public is for people to do that but not all of us are able/capable of compiling other peoples source code.

Have done, if you can show me how to upload RPM to repo, I'll happily share mine...

Just testing the lastest OKBoard 0.5.12 compilation from skyjumper on SailfishOS ver 2.0.4.14 and it works really good with my Spanish language for OKBoard v.0.3-1. Better swipe and word prediction. And a little bit faster than previous version 0.5.10 in OpenRepos.

It would be great to update version in Warehouse indeed
