yet the guy you just gave instructions to, on how to flash, clearly has never done it before.

Well i have flashed my N900 using Vista couple of times, but i have used Ubuntu for 10hrs so i'm not exactly mastering it yet
Imo it's more about that people will accept that what could happen if all goes wrong and imo in that sense it might be better that the zImages aren't flying around too much

fair enough - I just figure that if someone is able to find and install Maemo Flasher, and knows enough to search for a zimage, that they're probably well aware of the possible ramifications.

of course, admittedly, i'm just frustrated that I have to wait for the files until they're shared somewhere or I get PM access.

PPL, please, upload those files ... Is it not more convenient then to respond numerous PMs? Just add some "your own risk" stuff ... anyway, everebody here knows they (we) can brick that thing up ... so what?

But if you still dont want to post the files, then Im interested in a kernel, ideally scaling 125-800mHz ... Thank you!

I have just flashed mine to the 900Mhz kernel from Lehto. (125-900)

Here's some of my quick comparison. Before flash and after.

------600mhz--------

250mhz 12% during idle
500mhz 9% during charging

35sec HAM launch till downloads show up
20sec daum.net via MicroB
08sec sygic map loaded
09sec time to show tweego login screen

-------900mhz--------

125mhz 14% during idle
500mhz 8% during charging

26sec HAM launch till downloads show up
12sec daum.net via MicroB
06sec sygic map loaded
05sec time to show tweego login screen
