Haha everyone should just sue everyone else. Then a judge should just systematically invalidate the patents that shouldn't have been passed by the patent office.

This is just another proof that the US patent office is basically full of technologically ******ed people.
OR that patent trolls like Apple and others just use their huge piles of money to "buy" patent approvals.

Did that guy just mix HW patents (Nokia has sht load of these) and SW patents to same soup or did I understood something wrong. Those two beasts are quite different kind.

.edit
Looks like one of commentators pointed out Nokia´s situation on these patent issues.

Nah the patent office does have alot of smart people. From engineers, computer scientists, to lawyers. It's more a time issue than a knowledge issue.

I believe that, but how do idiotic patents get granted then?

Corporation wars are corp wars. But we need to think about protecting freedom of ourselves. We, Open Source lovers should invent new License GPLEA:

Whatever we have invented is protected by international law and free to use for everybody under General Public License Expect Apple Inc. And add some closure, "and any future company where Steve Jobs can possibly goes".

More and more I hate this guy. From very beginning started this business using genius of Steve Wozniak (in fact very simple and naive guy) These days even their relationship is like that.

And I bet he came up with initial idea after had steal some from Atari. If I am wrong SJ, sue me. Completely no respect for this man and less and less to his blind followers.

If Nokia has invested that much money, they deserve to sue the Apple, simple, I don't see why people are saying it was a stupid patent, if Apple broke the law then they should pay, simple, sure there's different interpretation of the law, but it's as simple as did they use those 13 patents in there I Phones is they did then there guilty as hell and should pay out, otherwise they shouldn't. Otherwise all that money Nokia spent in R&D would be for nothing, it's not like were researching crap that no one cares about, they were researching a multimillionaire idea you could call it? As most new smart phones contain WLAN, GSM etc...
