I am so bored and waiting for the update, that I came up with a song even lol:

Maemo pants, QT dance,
An update is all we need!
Oh what fun it is, right now,
to wait and sit till we bleed!

Searching through the board,
desperate for some news.
Everywhere we look,
rumours all the way.

It is almost spring,
people getting thrilled,
What fun it is to wait and stink,
it's worse then getting killed.

the improvements are more than promising, and probably not speculation anymore because those can be found at users manual:

i checked the old user guide on my device and compare it with new one..there really changes,some added features

seems theres no added portrait mode on others areas only phone and browser still..the changes i noticed are email widgets and options to change theme on im and conversation smileys,nigth mode also,,
