Hi guys, I have been out of the loop for a while now. I was wondering if people who pre-ordered the N900 have now received them and if the shops now have the N900 in stock?

Iv had my pc, which is usually rock solid disconnecting from internet 3 times with no apparent cause, making me reboot while I've left it connected Maemo.org. didnt think much of it until i read the posts on random reboots of n900. How about using the device without web browser in background and see how long the uptime is? just a thought. I haven't received mine yet so its just my tuppence worth.

edit: seems to happen when im logged into maemo.org on pc then log in on laptop too after forgetting to log out on pc.

Hi guys, I haven't been here for a while, but just to throw a quick update - my Nokia N900 parcel has landed at my house today morning, just as advised by MPD Salisbury guy who called me Saturday, but as I'm at work atm, I won't see my new, little toy until at least 7:30pm tonight.

Oh, and order confirmation email and 'Complete' status appeared today around 6:30am, so well after they actually posted the parcel.

Changed to 3G and it's been much better. It has rebooted once since when I opened the camera- but havent tried it again yet. Just installed weather, so I'll see how that goes. All in all I'm very pleased with it- although I'm finding the scrolling difficult- the bar is very thin and i keep opening things inadvertently. I'm ot used to touchscreen though- coming from an N95

EDIT- Oh and charger was dead on arrival, so I'm using my old N95 charger with the adapter. breathed a sigh of releif when the orage light came on with that I can tell you.
Mine hasn't rebooted at all yet although I do have the bug where after playing a video its refusing to play any now saying the aren't supported.

First impressions, my god the screen is FAR more readable than I feared. Can comfortably read this forum without zooming at all. But it is a REALLY heavy device, but I tend to keep a lot of loose change in my right pocket on my coat and phone in the left - so will probably balance out for me.

How I set mine up? I plugged it straight into my laptop and it immediately started charging and showed up as mass storage device (shocked me that as I had not turned on the N900 yet so I wasn't expecting it).

After I copied all my music over (had already transcoded all my iPod music collection over to FLAC days ago) I set off in search of getting telepathy-haze installed which ended it tragedy, Extra Devel just isn't working right now. Anyway I settled for installing a ton of junk and ogg-support.

Everything working apart from what I already mentioned above. Sound quality is amazing but then my iPod music has all been pre-EQd as I found the iPod Touch really poor sounding even with its EQ. N900 a billion times better sound quality than the iPod, shame the Media Player sucks on the N900 especially as ogg-support does not support tags yet.

Now heres hoping I do not suffer the reboot plague as anything else I can deal with, even if I have to fight to get video playback working again (ironically I am hoping a reboot will sort it).

The music player that comes with it is fine for me, been doing a great job for me - and i like the headset i got? will post a photo later and check it is the same ones as you all have
