Its worth noting as well that AT&T suck *** for data plans. The 4GB 4G plan is 45 bucks a month and 10 bucks every GB over. I am not sure how much data I use in a month but I want the damn option without getting bent over and humped.
Their phone plans aint exactly stellar either.
To be honest I was fearing the worst with vodafone's plans but they aren't too bad actually. At least the bundled data is up to 750MB in most cases and I managed to get one on an 18 month contract.

Whoever thought up 24 months contract lengths wants a stern talking to!

As shamefully demonstrated by Nokia. :/ Goddammit, Nokia.. why the hell did you screw up Maemo and even Symbian? (Not that I personally care for the latter.) :P Ugh. At least I'm reasonably happy with Android.

This is EXACTLY what I need but.. who the hell are these people? I've worked in networking for years and I don't recognize this company. Worse still, I don't see their products in the Android Market. This doesn't instill confidence for me. If I was asked my opinion on this, I would advise against installing it until there's some trust built up first. It's a clever but far too common ruse to code up malware dressed up as security software.

I've not worked in networking at all but I have to agree. I went to their website, looking for an android install. Couldn't find it. After some reading comprehension kicked in, I figured it out.

WisperMonitor 0.1 is included in their encryption software (0.3 beta). This software needs to be installed on your computer first, then presumably? you can somehow install it on your phone?

Seems very fishy to me, not only am I potentially compromising my phone/tablet (and google accounts), but I may compromise my computer as well? Not until I see a lot more info about it.

In the meantime, Droidwall does an excellent job using whitelists for access to both wifi and 3G.

The screen on the new samsung is a bit of a disappointment if looked at like that. Ugly cross hatching.
