I’m biased: Internet loyalist, Android admirer and subsequently advocate, and finally Google employee. I like variety and competition and I think a hot competitive ecosystem is best for the Internet and for Google too. I like the fresh look-and-feel ideas in WebOS and WP7, and I’d like to like Blackberry since I’m Canadian. Given those biases, It’s still not obvious whether I should wish the up-and-comers well.

Here's a video comparing the web browsing between the Galaxy SII and the Xperia Arc:

Yet another compelling reason to consider the Galaxy SII. It seems that Samsung has really considered the UX. The web browsing is extremely smooth -- there is clearly an optimization over the stock browser.

I thought that the HTC flyer included the digital pen, but as it turns out, it's an extra:

Well, potentially, that's a replacement stylus. However, if not, that makes it a $600 tablet (tablet, pen, case w/ slot for pen). Given the competition, that seems pretty steep, particularly when you consider it's a 1.5GHz single core, doesn't have hdmi out, etc.

I hope it's a replacement at this cost.

The digital pen moniker is significant, as styluses are generally simple pointing devices that are indistinguishable from other objects. This pen (AFAIK) will register strokes different than the input from your fingers/hand, and thus can be used much more like pen-on-paper than can be attained with a stylus. I would imagine that using a stylus on a device that's as large as a tablet (even a 7" one), would be a painful experience!

Yea its looking pretty damn likely that I will have to jump ship to AT&T for this thing. I just REALLY wish there was a review of the Sensation out.

It does seem however that the HTC is designed more for a media experience whereas the Samsung is just a good android handset overall.

Can I convince you to wait?

I feel somewhat responsible, and would urge everyone to have some sort of review process before making such a large purchase!

The sensation looks like a solid device, but as you said, it's tough to make a call with no information.

Oh I will be waiting at least until I see some reviews of the sensation. the switch to at&t while painful won't be the end of the world for me (especially since you can keep your number). Looks like the merger with AT&T wont give me much of a choice in a year or so.
