guys, one question, i'm using titan's ideal kernel and i set the max freq to 900MHz and now when i type in x-terminal

awk '{print $1/1000" MHz"}' /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq

it always shows 900 MHz, does that mean that my cpu is running at 900MHz all the time? ye.. i'm a noob, i know.

thanks for your answers.

There are lots of non-linearities you didn't take into account.
Please just don't give users the false impression of safety unless you have good evidence for your statements.

I'm sure there are many non-experts on this forum who would love to hear someone say "10 years at 1Ghz should be safe" but we simply don't know what's really safe.
Safe wrt to warranty are only the stock settings or lower voltages (but not for the data).

apparently your N900 has a builtin freezer
simply ignore that file - it's not reliable.
The battery temperature could be more interesting

Code:
modprobe bq27x00_battery
cat /sys/class/power_supply/bq27200-0/temp

i claimed that im having a problem with a -40 cpu temp,

i installed via xterm an app called "cpufrequtil" that shows cpu stats such as temps, and, currently fixes my -40 C problem,

i wanna know if this is a command line only or really an app? cant see any new at my menu

EDIT: i believe this is still not accurate, but just to give me a hint bout cpu temp
