these volume icons can be used in status area also!!
just copy and rename files:
"notification_volume_mute.png" > "statusarea_volume_mute.png"
then copy to same folder as above...........

No matter where I place those icons for the pop-up staus menu you show here for the spkr icons, I can't get those battery icons to show. I placed them in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon. They jsut won't show the old ones do. Any ideas? Those are the 18x36 icons. I'm referring to the batt icons.

dunno wat ur doing wrong but this is how i did it::

Make a backup of the original png's.

move files in desktop folder to:
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon

move files in statusarea folder to:
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon/

Reboot your N900.

Heh got it. I made my own mirror in .local, and sometimes that screws me up!

Best thing about doing that is that if you have to reflash, all your custom icons are there for the new OS install!

feel free to document your mods to wiki:

http://wiki.maemo.org/Customizing_maemo_for_power_users

made an example with led colours and mce.ini. this thread is usually hidden and requires couple minutes to locate unless bumped 24/7 (that makes no sense). so wikipedia is better when someone is trying to search mod instructions.

I installed Powatool to enable/disable status menu plugins and works fine, but is there a way to reorganize them?
I mean change the order in which they appear?
I'd like to move at the bottom some ones that I barely use but I don't want to totally remove them.

Thank you,
Roberto
