Can't you put the sim into another phone and do that? Then put it back to the N900..

It was fully supported for me after PR1.1 had to do ctrl shift o once and then it saved the settings id heard reports of people having to do it every time... :S cannot wait for PR1.2!!!!! although PR1.1.1 has made N900 a bit snappier!! (L)

just updated my n900

got it from a vodafone shop , it says vodafone black on the n900 box , it has fully installed and updated fine

hope other voda users get it soon maybe the servers are busy

edit
i did flash to global firmware on the last update so maybe this is why i have got it

I've updated in Serbia also. Everything seems fine, my rootfs is same size as before (48).

flashed it via nokia updater on windows xp.
had to download a 170 MB image.
and now i have to download over 400 MB apps and install them again... -.-'

my phone keeps saying I have to update it using the pc.. this happened with the last update aswell so I had to flash it

is there no way I can update it through the app. manager anymore?
