Hello Smoku. I just got started with the psx emulators. Are there any tweaks to make games faster in hte options that I should try out? Also I read that I don't need any bioses anymore?

Hey Smoku, when will you be able to get around to porting ARM DynaRec for PCSX-m? If you can get it to natively make use of the N900's full hardware (and get GT2 running smooth) let me know what you you need. I'm willing to support your work financially. Get back to me at jmznoh@gmail.com

(Sorry for posting this as a reply but I tried to PM you and it doesn't seem to work right now).

I already ported PSX4ALL dynarec to PCSX. And it does not work. Itīs a subtle bug I couldnīt spot after many hours of debugging. The recompiled code loops on CD-ROM access. Most probably an issue with interrupt handling (PSX4ALL handles them differently). I had enough and gave up.

But itīs available in PCSX-m repo if someone wants some fight with it.

Soooo....

Tested PCSX so far. Although it's amazing to see a working PSX Emulator running on a device like this, it's still lame compared to one on an HTC HD 2 running PSX games with full speed, unfortunately without keyboard...
Seeing that there was no further update since March, i'm wondering whether development has ended here.
I'm reading of problems with OpenGL, lack of support from Nokia...
Some people are already not talking of Maemo anymore but Meego, and even its release is unfortune.
Now let us be honest: Is it really probable that PSX games will EVER run smoothly on this device or shall we give up and just say:
Get a new device!
If not, what do you need for further development?
More money? More programmers? I always knew that Linux has a really slow development, but half a year after N900 has been released, can't we say whether we should give up our hopes or not?

@DarthLuda

You may want to try Psx4all. It is far faster, some people report full speed in multiple games.

Oh dear..10 mins? Your battery does suck. Mine lasts at least 5 hours @ 900Mhz while playing..

Somehow I doubt this.

Naahh already tried it. Most games are not running with PSX4All. Maximum speeds I got are 15 Fps even overclocked... far too slow. frameskipping function is useless. I think the hisstory of the N900 is coming to an end.
