Have a google around or call a flagship store. i hear they actually have walk out stock nowMaybe regent street in london, but not 100% sure on that tho. Shocking since that total defeats the whole purpose of preordering!!!!

Slighty off topic (sorry!) but thought I would share with you two mobile phone purchasing situations, in essence to show how MPD buying experience matched my partners..
To cut a long story short, my partner is being bought an iPhone3GS (by me...lol.. for xmas) and I have opted for the N900.
Presently, I have 2 contracts at the moment - one with o2 (upgrading to iPhone 3GS - already have iPhone) and a T-Mobile. From the moment I read about the N900 I wanted one. Unfortunately as it was a brand new device at the time of ordering only option was MPD/Vodafone route (on contract anyway).. so I opted for this. (cancelling my T-Mobile contract)
Its rather crazy in our house as I am so looking forward to my N900 and better half is looking forward to his iPhone3GS. What a combination.....lol.....
But here is the difference in "the buying experience" - he logs onto O2, orders, within a day gets confirmation of order and despatch with a tracking number. He gets his phone tomorrow ..
Me? .. ordered my lovely new N900 last month and had nothing but wait, broken promises and a terrible customer service experience!! duh!! As my partner is a "iPhone fan".. as you can imagine, my life has been hell -
"...told you to get an iPhone.." etc..na na na na naaa lol
Mind you the N900 is brand spanking new and its not exactly readily available "off the shelf" (well when I ordered it wasn't).. but had to share this little shopping experience comparison........sorry if its bored you!
Here's hoping my N900 comes tomorrow..............

You can find good template letters for complaining to Mobile Phones Direct here : http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/aft...plate-letters/
