They should've mocked a dpad up on that b*tch!

I believe you can translate most of it, but I'm not sure about the closed components.
Some simple translation efforts are on Wiki, but its nothing in the amount of the whole OS. I think it was just the package manager.

OH HELL YES!

If it's only a mock-up, as someone else said, then that's unfortunate. Because that would be ALMOST perfect. (I'd still prefer a dpad over the optical mouse -- or a combined dpad an optical mouse).

As long as the feel of the keyboard is good, on that one, I'd DEFINITELY buy it. Even with the optical pad :-}

Thx. I was ready to buy the N900, but I think I'll wait for the e900.

I'd surely wait for an E900 if it was real.

@zerojay if that many people are willing to wait for it, whether it's real or not (that'd it create a problem), shouldn't that be a big hint to Nokia?

The next maemo 5 device is scheduled for end of Q1 2010. So if you guys can wait that long....

Yes, it's a big hint to Nokia to tell people that it's a mockup made by a 3rd party and not an actual device. If too many people wait for that non-existent phone, there might not be enough sales for the N900 for Nokia to even bother with an E version of it.

I believe the N900 will sell like crazy no matter what.

But based on past experience, it's return rates I worry about. We'll see if this really does fulfill the apparent promise.

Though, that mock up E900 is missing a Y key. :-)

Also, I wonder where the escape key is on the N900 (and the mock up E900, for that matter) ... useful for vi and stuff.
