Install inception (which you've done)

Go to terminal. Type:

Go to the inception site in your web browser on your n9 and download the opensh file and aegiscti file

Incept them by typing the following in to terminal:

devel-su
rootme (that's your default password)
cd /home/user/MyDocs/
/usr/sbin/incept opensh_1.00_arml.deb
rootme

then

devel-su
rootme
cd /home/user/MyDocs/
/usr/sbin/incept aegisctl_1.2_armel.deb
rootme

and voila! both of those files are incepted. Just wait until the Opptimizer program is released, then you'll be able to overclock easily
+1 Thanks a lot. That helped
But then, if I overclocked my N9, nothing will be affected right (neglecting the frequency I use), such as the UI?

I've gone to 1,3GHz straight away and it didn't reboot. It seems very stable at the moment, though i haven't done too much testing yet.

Apps launch noticably faster @1,3, especially Maps and Navigation load in somewhat acceptable time now. Settings is A LOT snappier (almost no lag whatsoever), also the stock browser launches and loads pages very fast now. Gallery loads faster, and the Camera shoots instantly now
Firefox startup time is not really faster, but pages render more quickly. I was hoping for Firefox to become usable as default Browser, but does'nt happen unfortunately.

Overall, awesome work by Creamy Goodness and itsnotabigtruck, thank you so much guys!

I would like to add my thanks also, great work guys!

To add I've been on 1,2GHz for two weeks and works like charm, also tried it on 1,3GHz for few days with no problems, will try more on 1,3GHz when my new (white!) N9 arrives. Especially on 1,3GHz the Apps and UI seemed a lot smoother.

It's cited at TI as well as somewhere here on the forum too. I could overclock my N9 past 1.2ghz, but long term the phone won't live as it should. The N9 isn't the N900, where it was massively underclocked from the start. I'd suggest for day today use to stick to 1.2ghz so as not to fry your cpu, I've made it to 1.3ghz, but the N9 wasn't comfortable there.

I did it with 1.3GHz. Everything went fine until I realised that my N9 was getting warm (I was recharging the battery through my PC). Is this normal and is okay?

Not really, I am having the same problem at 1.2ghz too.

My battery drained from fully charged to 83% in an hour, this is way too quick, I will test some more, before making a decision.

Does that have to do with the voltage thingy?
