Also, I think we should have the Harmattan loading icon in on the splash screen like Maps as it helps with the Meego feel and as its an image, prevents internationalisation problems - unless the text is added in QML.
I personally would not mind being able to choose out of a few launch screens like the ones posted earlier in the thread as I think an all black background, again, goes with the meego feel as the is some noise to the current b/g.

Has alot of new functionality as opposed to the old version on wazapp.im and tgalal's git.
Just hope now that your phone registers with Whatsapp's servers!

Emoji in notification is can't be done i think.Devs had talk about it long time ago.MeeGo's notification part doesn't support images on notification message.At least i remember this way but things might be changed , idk

I downloaded my contacts profile pics via winscp and used Nokia Suite to edit the contact card and assign the picture to them so I now see the picture globally (calls, sms etc.)

Translators should watch the wazapp project on transifex. You will then get an email if something changes on the strings and you have to update your language.
