I seem to have a major issue with this upgrade on my N800:
Despite the fact that I have ~1GB space left on both internal and external memory cards, I keep on getting an error during the update that there is not enough space left for installing the update. The update was said to be ~36MB in the update dialog.
All prior updates have been successful without any problems.
Anybody else having similar issue?

I have gone through 4 update installations to be finally able to know what fails and gather that information (1->reboot cycle-teeth gnashing, 2->white screen of death-head banging, 3->success, 4->document and check fixes)
I put this here in the hope it can help those of you who haven't still updated to avoid failure.
- The update contains a documentation package. This package causes a lot of trouble, because it fails if the user has moved, removed or linked the documentation files:

I always delete the folder with all the bundled manuals, and I've never had trouble. So it's not quite that brittle.

One suggestion (?) I propose is to have some sort of simulated SSU install option. With this in place it could be seen beforehand if the process is going to fail, without actually updating the system. This should be complemented with a full log file that would pinpoint where the problem is.
