Are you using 0.4.7? Escape key will exit ASUI if used from the widget screen but all other locations it just closes the active dialog and returns to widget screen. 0.4.6 and earlier would always close ASUI when escape key was pressed, but not anymore.

Ok, what I want to say it is that very often I just need to check the time and to do it I need to drag the unlock button or press the power button, check it and lock the device again. But it takes some time to lock it again so I thought it would be a nice feature to be able check the time just using one button...
Easy enough to press power button, look at the clock widget and tap onscreen lock button all with your thumb (thats also why lock is in the same corner for landscape and portrait). You could always secure lock it, then tap power button to turn screen on, look at time and press power button to turn screen back off.

I suspect this app in changing size of fonts (for example in wifi connection dialog).
Not likely.

@ maacruz

Thanks, I'll take a look at it tonight.

Hm. But something did change font size...
Ok.
After yesterdays update I put n810 in airplane mode before going to sleep (with 90% of battery). Todays morning I found n810 turned off because something drained the battery completely.

upd:
Oh after I charged n810 and turned it on i found that font is ok as it was the day before yesterday.

Can you make a status bar applet for ASUI because n810's power button placed on the top of device and it is uncomfortable for me to reach it?

You've never had that happen before? My n810 has been doing it once a week since 2007. ksoftirqd/0 consumes 100% cpu until battery dies or device is restarted. I plan to have ASUI detect this, play a warning sound a couple times and then shutdown, reboot or kill the process.

I tried but couldn't get the helloworld statusbar app in the Maemo 4.1 manual to work so I gave up.

.
It's a kernel thread. You can't kill it. The only way to make the problem go away is to reboot.

Hell no, it was a first time. Usually vi stays in processes and load the cpu, but this is an only app I have this sort of problem with.

And I noticed that even if I change cpu frequency to powersave ASUI shows 400 mhz (red color) and advanced battary shows 165 mhz at the same time. I waited about a minute after I changed the frequency and nothing happened. When I close all applications (actually only quasar, but it was an only runing) it finally changed to 165 mhz.
I will try to repeat it next day to tell you more about it.

May be somebody can help u? I can ask Mitrandir, he has some experience (Layout switcher, Telescope launcher and telescope task switcher)...

I know that, but it could try to kill any runaway processes that aren't kernel threads.

This problem should've been fixed in 0.4.7.

Any help is welcome.

Mitrandir said you can take his Telescope applet sources and change the d-bus message and Icon, that is all. There is no much code there...

He's agreement in russian, but you can translate it with google or so if you really want.

I'll take a look at it after I finish the asui-settings app.

Can you check whether both OpenSSH and Dropbear are installed before enabling long-tap on the SSH widget?

When I make a connection to OpenSSH, it goes from a blank display to "2 clients" If I open a second terminal window to it, it increments from 2 to 4.
Why does each external connection count for 2 rather than 1?
