No
I wanted the default settings 30,33,38, but there is a bug.

ive been using titans maemo25 kernel mostly with ideal settings for a couple of weeks now, but in the last few days ive had text messages becoming corupted with old messages, luckily its just inserting parts of old messages on to the end of new ones for the same contact, i would hate for my mum to read some of the texts i send my girlfriend, could this be related to oc'ing i havent modified anything to do with messaging and fo far this is the only sign of coruption i have seen, the strange thing is it only shows as corupt on my girlfriends phone, when i look in my conversations it is exactly as i wrote it, and when i forward it to her again it goes through fne.
has anyone heard of anything like this before?

Quick question, something I didn't pick up as directly as I'd like from the wiki page..

Is the "ideal" setting installed upon reboot or is it still running on "default?"

I looked at the config files and see that "ideal" looks to run from 500 Mhz to 850.. whereas default maxes out at 550 it appears.

Edit: Also Conky never shows above 600 Mhz.

Disregard, I discovered that default is still running.. by (heh) default. You have to use the kernel-load command after copying one of the pre-configured config files to /etc/default/kernel-power.

Rebooting does the trick too.

hi! i already overclocked my n900 and its really solid.

i like the mod kernels, but i prefer titan's which is customizable, and still run on the stock kernel or go off the limits.

but what does this mean? as a normal user, i fully understand overclocking risks but what i am reading is confusing me.

What exactly?

dumb question, i am sure it is in the last 344 pages, but where is titans kernal located? is it the one that is in the extras-devel repo?

originally, i just OC'd my device to the original 900mhz.

then i just dl'd the enhanced linux kernel for power users 2.6.28-maemo2.

after that, i noticed that i could not calibrat my touchscreen, so i dl'd the

bugfix for touchscreen calibration

still doesnt work.

I noticed that titans ideal config uses 500 as lowest freq.

Isn't it dangerous to lock device @ 500Mhz?

It's not "locking" @ 500Mhz. If you read the wiki I linked below, you will find out why:
http://wiki.maemo.org/Overclocking#A...tion_and_hints

Also, titan's ideal profile uses much less power at 500Mhz than Nokia's stock setting at 500Mhz. (about 35% less)

yup! that is correct!

titan's kernel has lower power on higher voltages'

for example, 600mhz of nokia's kernel will already give your device the "overvolting" mode, but in titan's, you must reach up to 900mhz before overvolting. (Just for Example)

EDIT: according to what i read from the ARM website, "an ARM cortex A8 has the ability to scale from 600mhz to higher (possibly) than 1GHz"

Nokia locks the highest freq of n900 to 600mhz. maybe overclocking will not harm the CPU but, it may harm any other hardware/software IMHO!!!
