Is the consumer device going to have any kind of sliding mechanism?? I.e. a slide out touch screen that can emulate the key's with feedback and then morph into a different format for games?? I'm sure I’ve seen/read about this concept on tech blogs..

This is the only way we won't miss a hardware keyboard and won't impact on the actual unit display......

Sound possible???? I'm just clutching at straws I guess....

That's what I seriously doubt. You can always improve virtual keyboard designs to better fit certain use cases. But I'm convinced that only a hardware keyboard is the real thing.

Harmattan is from Nokia, so is the Harmattan Consumer Device. The device with keyboard you've seen in the teaser is the developer device.
So is the qwerty - non qwerty discussion still on ? Elop pretty much showed the device today.

I'm inclined to believe it will use that kind of "button feedback" tech that kddi showed sometime ago. That's the only way it could really compete with a real keyboard.

zeh, back at it again. havent learned YET!!!

ok, i concede it def isnt the oro.

3 devices through 2014 as of jan 2011, yet they would release two of those with in months of each other?

some of these articles, by newspapers conflict with your report zeh, so again till further notice: FCC+Teaser is only information we have, everythign else should be considered noise.

Nokia won't release two devices. They will release and sell only one Harmattan Device this year, as said numerous times also by Elop.

3he second device which was seen in the teaser and in the FCC filling will not go on sales. Seems that you haven't read any of my posts.

Keeping some money aside already won't be a terrible mistake.
