You run anything on Nokia n900 – literally – …iPhone – gave one to my pet turtle as it wasn’t smart enough to operate a Nokia – but was ok with the iPhone……noobs.
Sums up the average deluded fanboy. Thinks hes oh so smart but is as thick as sh1t in all likelihood and probably has no life to boot.

Android runs on the iphone too (1.6 very well and 2.2 is in its early stages).

I think this may be the one iPhone that won't blend well, due to the materials used. (hardassglass and metal)

Nice to have free things but things that cost time to make deserve money. Hence why no company worth their salt invests in the n900.

They won't invest in a small market run by a company that can't get its act together. This has nothing to do with anything being "free."

It's a $5 app that most people will find easier to use then mencoder.

I'm all for the power of Linux, but seriously. For the "average consumer" the iPhone 4 looks pretty decent. Even after you de-Steveafy it and remove the hyping over features that really aren't amazing, a lot of people will find it to be able to do what they want, need, and even don't need with ease.

Here's something it can do. It can run for 10 hours on wifi. The n900 can't quite match that battery life.

What I'd like to see from the Nokia side is a platform that spans the usability space from "yep, my mom could use that" to "yep, I could maintain my LAMP servers with that." I'm not SURE that span is possible, but I'd love to be wrong. Apple owns the "my mom can use it" side, and it turns out there are a lot of people who are in that camp.

if Apple allow Google Voice Nav on iPHONE 4.0....it's pretty much over for Nokia...probably on their last breath.

Relax guys, there is no game over here. If anything, Apple pushes everyone to keep innovating. Consumers win.
