It is interesting that there are no pics of the device turned on...

Something that worries me is the camera lens cover: seems similar to the N97 one, which is known to scratch the lens.

Looks a touch bigger than my N97; liking the idea that there might be a virtual d-pad (that would seem to be the ideal, unless the 51 is a no-d-pad number like the N97 Mini).

Hardware means nothing unless the software is tight.

I wondere why Nokia didn't have these images held until after the release. After all that hubbub on Nokia Conversations about leaked this and that, to see the N97 Mini, 5900, and now the N900 just makes me wonder what's going on.

Side note: I wonder if this has an AMOLED screen; it would be one impressive number if they did that here. From the looks of the screen, it looks like that could be possible (along with a bigger battery than 1500mAh).

EDIT: The placement of the spacebar should not be a problem. Its not on the N97 (aka, judging ergonomics from a picture is plan stupid; getting an idea and then acquesing to the fact that someone knew what they were doing when designing it might be the better position here).

That looks more like the light sensor than the camera.

They need to generate some buzz. Nokia has not been getting some good press in the US lately...

The darkness of the screen inspite of the flash may suggest that it is an AMOLED screen.... but not sure. 800x480 AMOLED would be mind blowing!

Glad to know you think so, but it's not. It looks exactly like the camera on the front of my 5800.

Well, it looks shiny! The 3-row keyboard is a bit of a downer, although not unexpected - and at least they gave use arrow keys, since we aren't getting a D-Pad. I'm waiting for official specs, and word on some of the software features they've been holding back on, before I fully form an opinion, though. It's hard to tell what materials they've used on some parts, but it looks like much more plastic than on the N810, at any rate.
