I recently got a Japod like the one you tested, in my everyday usage it's made the difference between "dead before I go to sleep" and "still alive when I go to sleep". I even left it on overnight (GSM, not connected to gprs or wifi) without charging, it was still alive when I woke up, but had less than 1% remaining. So that's almost 24hours with one charge, using autodisconnect and not leaving on 3G or wifi.

(My original Nokia battery only takes about 90% of original capcity anymore)

But now I want a scud instead.

Dual Scud Battery Stutus Update:

I have installed BatteryGraph and when my N900 is close to dying (3.3V) i will post the output graph, but so far it has been 26hours of moderate usage, 3 hours video so far, custom brightness (simple mod) level 3, 3G, Bluetooth, skype, msn on and some surfing

battery right now = 42% left after 26hours

might be tomorrow before it dies

Note: video is high quality H.264 to the limit of N900 playback

WOW! thats awesome right there. i wish i could do a dual scud setup... then I could use my phone without restrictions. (no need for autodisconnect, switching between gsm/3g modes, low brightness etc)

only thing holding me back is the extra bulk from using dual batteries and mugen cover.

Well got irritated in the end, so had my N900 play 1 Hour video, then jut keeping the display on until i saw 3.3V
It really felt like it was never going to die!!!!!

Runtime as you can see in the graph was 32hours+, at very high load it should still be able to do at least 10hours, and when i say very high load i mean an average load of 85% approx over the 10hours.

But here's the graph, and you can see in the end i just kicked it's a*s
Also included a zip with the jpg for full detail (no downsize....)

Name: BatteryGraph Moderate usage.jpg

BatteryGraph Moderate usage.jpg.zip

Also notice the charge rate before full battery.
Right now it is charging with 2.5A and in just 10minuts it has charged up 416mAh or 30% of a normal 1320mAh battery

EDIT: this info will be added to post #2 also

A single Scud battery will also help on the no need to auto-disconnect.

The N900 will be bulky with the mugen cover but it is a very small price to pay for the peace of mind that you don't have to limit usage to get it to survive till you find some power, since i have been making dual batts, i have not turned off Bluetooth, WiFi (auto connect), 3G, Brightness (always at 153) etc....

and now it lived 32hours of moderate usage with the dual scud.

and on the charging note, 30minuts have passed and 1170mAh has been charged up.....

No sorry, if i had the time i would do it, but 3 months ago i became a father so that takes up some time, and in the next few months im making my own electric motor for my electric vespa ciao version 3, version 2 has a semi homemade system, the new version will be almost completely homemade so this takes time, a have a speaker project to do also, and i have to make a few more audio amplifiers (of course also homemade )

But if i had the time then yes, i would have no problem making a small production , and selling a mugen cover + Dual scud kit, for something like 40$ + shipping

Thanks for all your work on the battery testing, it's an invaluable resource for everyone looking to buy a good replacement and especially for those who want the extra capacity of the Mugen without the cost.

I hope all the SCUDs are as good as what you got. I ordered myself 6 and two Mugen covers with the plan to make make 2 dual-batteries and have two normal. Since I have two N900s I intend to have a dual-battery in one and a normal battery in the other, but I'll have the option of a dual-battery in both.

What price did you pay for the scud's?
if you paid 17$ for 2 then the total price with covers comes to 71$...... Compared to 100$ for 1 mugen XL battery & cover.......
or
9000mAh vs 2400mAh for less $.....

Have you got the 2250 battery yet? I think it's a crappy battery though cheap. I did love mugen for my HTC Kaiser but that thing was bulky and expensive as hell.
