Not a bug. Whatsapp doesn't confirm the reception of your messages in group chats. Also happens in iPhones and Androids.

By the way and I guess you guys already noticed but since we don't have avatars/icons yet (but we WILL) I put an @ in front of the groups in the Contact list to differentiate them. That's just temporary. Eventually we'll have a nice icon for groups to differentiate them from the Contacts.

Eventually...

Ah okay, learned something new then

Also if you reenter a group chat (when you exited Yappari), the first person to talk in that group chat will be the name of the group chat. The name they filled in on Whatsapp, not the contact name.

Also donated a few bucks. Keep the updates coming!

Thank you!

About that bug: yes. That's because group support is not ready (just basic group support for now). When Yappari starts, it should ask for current participating groups, and then re-create groups even before you notice that you're logged in.

I expect to finish completely group support in the next release, and maybe we'll see chat history (with chat history your group chat will stay there and even if Yappari wouldn't request for participating group you'd still see it there).

There's a workaround: Ask somebody in the group to change the subject

Thank you for fixing the notification stacking issue. Only one more issue with that. Can you have the notification show over the actual message since when I go in the task view, I have the message and the notification show in separate windows. Not a huge issue, but makes it look nice and clean

Please elaborate a little more? I don't get what you mean.

Also, if I understand correctly (which I think I don't), isn't the exact behavior of the SMS notification?

A screenshot helps

This? So the yellow notification is over the conversation. I think that's how SMS/Skype has it.

A bug that I noticed today was that the notifications come up in a new window and not the actual chat window. They do stack up nicely though as was mentioned in the changelog. I realize you had given a lot of time to sorting the notification bugs, so am not sure if this is how you meant to design it. But in practise, it becomes a bit irritating when you are talking to the person (but the window is minimized) and notifications keep stacking in another window

Edit : and I just noticed that it has been pointed out in the above post while I took my own sweet time to type

I see what you guys mean. That will require some nice hacking, since the notification needs a GtkWindow* to attach and Yappari is written in Qt... I'll research a little to see if I can get a GtkWindow handler froma QWidget (that'll be hard).

There was a way, if I could only remember it
