Thanks goes to Titan!
My system has become completely unstable since the install of version 28. I was very happy to see that you posted the .deb files to easily get back to 27. However, I'm getting the following error when trying to install the second file:

dpkg: error processing kernel-power-modules_2.6.28-maemo27_armel.deb (--install):
corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
kernel-power-modules_2.6.28-maemo27_armel.deb

EDIT: I am NOT running PR1.2

I'm using leaked 1.2 with v28 and no vibrating screen feedback, no sound, random desktop crashes, and a message saying camera application unexpectedly closed every time I open phone.

Zero problems before this update.

Definitely something wrong with -28... After the upgrade i get random crashes from various apps, unexpected crashes from others.

Going back to Nokia kernel fixed it.

Thanks for those -27 debs, they're gonna be useful !

Using PR 1.1.1 or whatever is current without counting the leaked one.

maemo28 bug confirmed: (rpgAmazon, God_Lx, AlMehdi)

-media player: "unable to play media files"
-vibration: vibrate effects are disabled in some instanceybs
-hildon desktop: unexpected crashes
-boot video is disabled (added by rpgAmazon)
-tones/alerts of calls, e-mails etc are disabled (added by AlMehdi)

reverted back to maemo27 and everything is back to normal.
kernel-power-settings still updated to v.011

thanks for all your feedback. I'm baffled how it works perfectly for some (incl. me) and crashes for others.
an alternative way to downgrade to v27 is:

apt-get install -y kernel-power=2.6.28-maemo27 kernel-power-modules=2.6.28-maemo27 kernel-power-flasher=2.6.28-maemo27

Most probably file has been corrupted when you downloaded it. Try again to re-download and install it. Files are OK.

EDIT: See Titans post above to get files with apt-get.

is there a difference updating using the x-term (dpkg -i file) and the app manager?

i updated the v28 kernels through app manager.

UPDATE: still have the bugs updating via xterm with dpkg -i codes

Hi
I was testing today wireless module patch that fixes monitor mode(there was a problem with sniffing encrypted packets before)

I'm not sure if you get it soon enough to include it in latest kernel build.

Patch works and i was able to capture encrypted data packets(they were malformed before) but i was not able to connect to WPA2 network. It is possible that problem will occur also with other encryption or encryptionless types but can not test it.

i was using prd1.1 and 27 kernel with custom wl12xx.ko module.
