No one will be charged until they have units. So we won't start seeing that happen until early next week it sounds like.

Dell update:

I used to work for the company that still makes Dell's printers, so I have a little insight, but this info is from Dell.

1. Dell does not stock phones (at least not yet- Dell will also sell their own brand of phones next year in the US)
2. Dell is an official reseller for Nokia. Our orders will ship DIRECT from Nokia's direct market distribution channel.
3. Dell's first allocation for customers is expected to be shipped on 11/24 -may be earlier, but more likely later (first week of December).
4. Contrary to my doubts, Dell will honor the discounts.

I had forgotten that Dell ships Nokia phones through Nokia's own distribution. I used a very helpful corporate sales contact for the information. My company (like others) does a lot of business with Dell.

Are you saying the product will be shipped directly from Nokia to us... and not from Dell warehouse?

Yes. No middle-man like Amazon or Newegg. I reworded that line to be more clear about it.

Alright let me understand this... Many retailers will get the product to their warehouse and distribute it to buyers. But you're saying... when we order through D3LL, the product does not go to their warehouse before coming to us. If this is the case, it contradicts with this

Somebody must have gotten wrong information then.

Per UPS Website, only critical packages will be picked up / delivered Nov 26, and only air/international packages on Nov 27.

So the 26th is out and only air (overnight) packages on the 27th. Being as they are considered holidays, I wouldn't count on them being part of the 3-5 day ground shipping either.

Dell does not differentiate from direct shipments or their own warehouses. Same shipment language. Dell does not carry phones in their warehouses. They take the order and forward the info to Nokia's distribution partners.

That implies the coupon code we used is more likely to be honored by d3ll.

Yes, and IF everyone gets their allocations at the same time, Dell buyers should be about five days in front of Amazon and Newegg since no second warehouse to ship, receive and distribute from.

Dell should get their allocation before Amazon and Newegg or any other 3rd party in the US, so it could be one week or more earlier.
