But my capture button is larger than the stock camera one so I wonder...

I know but I don't think the problem is the button size...
If you increase the event-area you allow for a lesser need of precision to trigger an action --> good thing if you have fat fingers^^

i actually dont know why youd prefer to have a larger clickable area instead of a larger button.

I tried to get it to work now but I am having a bit of difficulty to get rotation + pinch zoom to work. I am not giving up on it yet but I will revisit it in a few days when I manage to think of a proper way to do it.

Not necessary, but it does look slick when the native camera icons do that.
Yeah it took some sweat and blood to polish the native app. I witnesses it

Glad to hear it. It is quiet cumbersome to take the photo, swipe to post capture, click on gallery icon, and then select the photo so I am able to zoom and see if the shot turned out.
I think I know how to fix that. The next release should have the fix (I hope)

Because the size is imho good as it is now. The problem is that you have to make too much of an effort and be very precise when hitting a button. If you miss even by 1 mm you accidentally change the focus instead of taking a picture

Since my index finger for example is like 1 cm wide at the tip I never know if I tap the button or the screen if I am a little bit off

Here goes 0.0.19
* Fixed a bug that caused stock camera to use our sound effects
* Added capture timer
* Fixed a bug that caused camera to stay running if screen is locked immediately after capturing
* Stop the GPS animation when camera is not running to prevent unnecessary CPU consumption
* Load a higher quality preview image when we pinch zoom

Available from OpenRepos.net

I am still thinking about the capture bitton. I am not sure where the issue could be. My capture button is larger than the stock camera one so how come the stock one works better?
