Any information on when/if the stores (both flagship and retail outlets) will have it for general sale?

All great information, Rushmore... and it sounds like it came from a reputable source. Thanks for looking into this.

Question now is when product actually ships

There could be a flood of orders next week, but complicated due to US holiday. If orders ship next week, only likely scenario for receipt is next day delivery. Standard delivery in the US takes a back seat from next week through Christmas in regards to shipping queues.

Processing of orders, yes. Shipping (as in driving the product around) holidays don't intefere as much. It's like the weekend, most people don't work on weekends but product is still moved around. They just park the truck when it reaches its destination until the processing center opens again.

Unless there is a delay, Dell will know nothing now until they get shipment notifications from Nokia's distribution partner.

Thinking about it though, if the devises are going to a warehouse and shipping to customers from there, this is not really different than going from Amazon or Newegg.

All depends on if the product was being centrally delivered and then distributed to retailers or is direct shipping to them. If the latter, not much timing difference with Dell or anyone else.

Me too, wow.

Although, I just spoke to my creditcard company and the charge still doesn´t appear as pending. So I don´t think they´re quite ready to ship. Maybe I´ll hear that it was charged tomorrow morning.
