It can also mean that you don't have enough space for the update. It is usually rootfs that runs out of space first. Flashing will definitely help but might be a bit of an overkill, try clearing up some space first to see if it helps.

though I couldn't find any info at the maemo.org wiki on this topic. I mean, there's no info that one shouldn't enable CSSU Devel repo for the stable CSSU flavor.
