The whole launch just seems so chaotic. I'm glad that apparently they're starting to sell the phones at the NYC flagship store... but SERIOUSLY WTF?? All of the people who pre-ordered from the various US retailers (including the Nokia store) months ago STILL don't have a definitive date for shipping. This just blows my mind. And from the NYC thread, it seems like they're selling it CHEAPER than the original Nokia store PREORDER.

Yes and this morning the NYC store was saying that they might get it at the end of the month.

I am going to make a wild *** guess that some manager at Nokia pulled strings, raised their voice and told logistics to round up some phones and release in Italy, France and the NYC store.

A small "teaser" release to to quell the annoyance that´s been showing up on this site, tech websites, conversations.nokia.com and more.

Some sort of a proof that the phone exists and is viable for sale. Now we can relax a little. Lets give them a week and then we can get annoyed again if more retailers and shops don´t start shipping.

Almost #4000 before release!

Don't expect to much! They may have pushed new FW into a few devices all night long to make us believe something would happen. We shall continue to wait patiently another 2 weeks, not change to the dark side.
But as long as resellers did not get any reliable information when they will have the devices I am sceptical. I think Nokia is still looking for ways to reflash all the already shipped devices with newer firmware because they found a severe bug. I can't find another explanation for these mysterios behavior of Nokia.
