There is an update to rtcomm beta installer showing up in app manager...does this mean installing and running this will update rtcomm?

You probably are seeing the rtcomm beta installer 0.7 that I put in my repository from the RTComm Beta Garage "deb" page. See my updated instructions for more details on how it is meant to be used.

If everything is working for you, ignore it! If you accidentally "upgrade", it shouldn't negatively affect anything. You'll probably get the installer icon in your Extras menu again, but that's probably it.

Can anyone tell me how to add skype to this? Is it possible? I tried creating a new SIP account but I don't know what to put in the @ part. I tried skype.com but it didn't work. If I could get skype chat to work it would have every chat program I use.

I think Skype hasn't an API for it's protocol.

But I would love to see Facebook contacts! ;-)

sorry for bringing the topic from the ashes, but the title really fits the question...

there's a Windows Live Messenger ADD-ON called "messenger plus! live" (http://www.msgpluslive.net/)... it gives the WLM a lot of features, and one of them is the possibility of formatting text (via bracket tags [some letter inside [it], for example)

well it looks great on plus! messenger, but it just occupy a whole lot of space in N800 messenegrs and makes the nicks unreadable...

is there a way to make the messengers process (understand) these tags, or at least ignore them in contact display names?

The ICQ had stopped connecting any more (since the last days), are you familiar with this problem? and how to solve it?

Guh, I suck at Linux. So, I can't install the beta update because I'm missing telepathy-haze 0.2.0 or greater. So I find the latest version and decompress to my device, but I have no clue how to install it. An installer doesn't show up in Application Manager either (cept for an older incompatible version). Any help would be appreciated.

first of all I wanted to thank u for everything u have done because this is my first time talking to u.
the next thing is that I think that his problem is independent of your instructions. It is a recent problem because in my situation yahoo messenger used to work but for a couple of days i'm having problem of loggin. I can't log any more, and I saw other people complaning about the same problem in a different post.

5.2008.43-7 is my OS version number, which was current last time I checked.
